Shipping & Delivery Policy

MODESTLY ("we" and "us") is the operator of (https://www.shopmodestly.co.uk) ("Website"). By placing an order through this Website you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.

1. General

Stock availability is subject to change.

We aim to keep accurate stock counts on our website, but there may be a stock disparity from time to time, and we may not be able to fulfil all of your items at the time of purchase. In this case, we will ship the available products to you and contact you to discuss if you prefer to wait for the temporarily out of stock item to be restocked or to be refunded.

1.1 Price of goods and services

Prices for our products and shipping services are subject to change without any prior notice.

1.2 Pre-order items

Please allow up to 4 weeks for pre-ordered items to be sent. Please keep in mind that if you order in-stock items, they will be dispatched once the pre-ordered item(s) become available, unless otherwise specified.

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping prices are calculated during the checkout process. Currently, we charge £4.50 for standard tracked delivery inside the UK. Shipping charges will be collected at the time of checkout. This is the final amount for the customer's shipping costs.

3. Delivery Terms

3.1 Dispatch Time

Orders are typically shipped Monday through Friday, within 3 business days after payment. If you place an order on a Friday after 12 p.m, your order will be shipped on Monday. Over the weekend, we will not process orders. Please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be sent during busy periods such as Eid and Ramadan if you have selected Standard Delivery, as we will be prioritising orders that are Next Working Day or Priority Delivery. We may experience a high volume of orders from time to time, especially during product launches, Eid and Ramadan, which may cause the dispatch of your items to be delayed.

3.2 Next Working Day Delivery/Priority Delivery

We currently offer next working day and Priority delivery and aim to dispatch the same day or within 24hours.

For Next Working Day delivery, orders will need to be placed before 11am (Mon-Thurs) for same day dispatch.

If you want your items before a certain time - At the checkout, choose Next Working Day By 1pm Delivery. We will dispatch the same day (if ordered before 11am) using the Special Delivery option by Royal Mail to ensure that your item arrives the next working day by 1pm.

Saturday deliveries are not available.

Orders placed on Friday are not guaranteed to be delivered on Saturday, as our couriers often deliver the following working day. If you have any questions, please contact us before placing an order for the next day.

For Priority Delivery, we aim to dispatch within 24 hours of receiving your payment.

(Disclaimer: In some cases the courier may not always deliver your item the next working day. This is beyond our control and we are not to be held liable)

MODESTLY makes no guarantees on delivery dates. Any shipping dates provided at checkout are estimates. We will not reimburse any additional shipping charges paid for Next Working Day/Priority Delivery as a result of courier delays. We are primarily accountable for the prompt delivery of your orders.

3.3 Transit Time Domestically

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 3 - 7 working days. However, kindly note that there may be a delay from the courier during UK national holidays, such as Bank holiday or UK festive periods. MODESTLY will not be liable for any delays by the courier. As the delay is not within our control. We will not refund you the shipping price if your delivery is delayed even if you have paid extra.

We are not liable if your order is delivered when you are not at home. It will be your responsibility to collect at the local depot or arrange suitable day for redelivery with the courier themselves.

3.4 Transit time Internationally

Generally, orders shipped internationally are in transit for 10 - 20 working days. This varies greatly depending on the courier and the time it takes to clear customs.

3.5 Change Of Delivery Address

We can update the address for a change of delivery address request at any time before the order is sent. If you need to alter your address, please inform us as soon as possible. We are not liable for any wrong addresses submitted during the checkout process. We can only assume that whatever address is provided is correct. If the things are returned to us owing to an inaccurate address, we will not refund your shipping costs. If you still need the products, you will have to pay for new delivery.

3.6 Delivery Time Exceeded

If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time by more than 10 working days, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.

4. Tracking Notifications

Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking number from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.

5. Duties & Taxes

Import Duties & Taxes

Import charges and taxes may be imposed on international products upon arrival in the destination country. This varies by country, and we STRONGLY advise you to be aware of these potential fees before placing an order with us.

Based on past experience and customer comments, the customs clearing agency would most likely contact customers through email to pay taxes and fees. We cannot, however, predict how much they will charge because they are a different organisation and we are unaware of the prospective charges.

If you refuse to pay customs and taxes upon arrival in your destination country, the items will be returned to MODESTLY at the customer's expense, and the customer will be refunded for the value of the goods paid, less the cost of return shipping. The initial delivery charge will not be reimbursed.

6. Insurance

Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.

7. Process for parcel lost in-transit

We will process a refund as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.
